About Us

Ronnie Ray – FOUNDER

Ronnie is a native son of Pickens County. He has 3 daughters. Rhonda, Stephanie, & Amanda.  At some point all of his daughters have worked for and along side of him.  He has been in business over forty years in the Pickens County area.  Ronnie began in the auto body repair industry in the seventies. He opened R&R Body Shop in January, 1982. As a related business, he formed R&R Wrecker Service. In the ninety's he started R&R Self-Storage and to date he has over 500 units.  Around 2000 he opened Burnt Mountain Auto wash and Clocktower Auto wash in Gilmer County.  As if this is not enough also owns and manages several commercial rental properties.  In mid 2003 Ronnie was diagnosed with a serious and debilitating disease called Wegener’s Granulomatosis. It slowly destroyed his kidneys. Ronnie was blessed with a second chance at life when a kidney transplant was performed in March of 2005. Since his recovery his health has been great!  Ronnie has always loved and owned motorcycles. Once he regained his health in 2006 he started R&R Trikes & Outdoors. For many years he has been involved with local motorcycle clubs such as the Cherokee Cruisers and the GWRRA. He was a charter member of the Chapter R in Pickens County.  Ronnie is a Christian, family man, and an honest business man. Perhaps this is what has made him successful.  Ronnie has always been humble and kind. To know him, is simply to love him.

Amanda Prather – Owner

Amanda has been at R&R Trikes and Outdoors from the beginning. Married in 1992 to her high school sweet heart Steve and having 2 sons, Jordan and Jacob she resides in Cherokee county but laughs she is a Jasper girl at heart.  She is Ronnie’s youngest daughter and biggest fan. Working with her dad has been a great experience and likes to joke, "Honestly, he is the only person who could work with me this long." Amanda speaks about her experience at R&R Trikes and Outdoors by saying, "Being part of a growing business is very rewarding."  She dreams of taking over the business some day.  We started a few short years ago installing motor trike kits with no service department or inventory. Now we have grown into a building twice the size with an amazing service department and a store inventory of over 5000 items. Finally, the opportunity presented itself and in 2019 and she officially bought the business. I come to work each day and work with people who truly care about our customers and our business. When we are all are working to our highest potential, great things happen both for ourselves and the business. There is not another job I could dream of where I am rewarded daily. Perhaps the best part of all is still getting to work along side my dad everyday.
